COVID-19 Legal Services
Although legal services have been declared an essential service during this State of Emergency, we are taking all reasonable and appropriate precautions. Our staff and attorneys are working remotely providing legal services as people need them.
The Family Law Courts are currently closed, except for certain emergency cases, such as Orders of Protection, domestic violence situations, juvenile cases, etc. Judges are encouraging us to continue advancing cases by accepting agreed orders and, in some situations, conducting video or telephonic conferences.
We remain committed to helping clients resolve family law issues as they arise during this time. We are still actively advocating for our clients during this crisis. We are available daily during regular business hours for new case consultations and to help out clients with current cases. We are doing video and teleconferences with new clients, existing clients, the courts and opposing to counsel to resolve ongoing issues as they arise.
We are also offering a new mediation service that allows our clients to resolve divorces (and certain other family law issues), from start to finish, without either party ever appearing in court.
